About Vaccinations
A vaccination is a shot with a particular vaccine.
You must vaccinate your dog to prevent Distemper.
Never Had the Shot?
If your dog has never been vaccinated, then it takes 2 shots and about 6 weeks for your dog to be protected.
Vaccination Out-Of-Date?
If it has been too long since your dog was vaccinated, then you need to renew the vaccination. The distemper vaccination must be given once a year. In some circumstances, the veterinarian may recommend the second "booster" shot even if your dog has been previously vaccinated.
